BACK PORCH THERAPY
The person behind the porch

Meet Russel Ramsey.

Real conversations. Real growth.

A place to talk about real life.

I'm Russel, the voice behind Back Porch Therapy. I believe some of our most important conversations happen when we set aside appearances and make room for honesty, compassion, and a little perspective.

My background in counseling and education informs the way I approach topics like mental health, relationships, parenting, and personal growth. My faith also shapes my sense of purpose: using what I've been given to understand people and help them grow.

Here, the goal isn't to have every answer. It's to start a meaningful conversation.

Family · Presence · Connection

What matters off camera.

Being a father reminds me how much it matters to slow down, listen, and show up for the people closest to us. Family life is one reason parenting and relationships are such a natural part of the conversations we have here.

I want Back Porch Therapy to feel approachable: grounded in real life, open to different experiences, and focused on practical growth.

What Back Porch Therapy is today

For now, this is an educational platform for general mental-health and relationship conversations—not an appointment-booking service. The information shared here is not a substitute for individualized care and does not establish a counseling relationship.
